Guide to Pacific Harbour
Not too far from Pacific Harbour is the legendary Beqa Island, home of the Fijian fire walkers who perform their ceremonies at several major Fijian hotels and resorts.
There are plenty of activities on offer at Pacific Harbour, which is known as the adventure capital of Fiji. From snorkelling, diving and surfing to beachcombing, golf and hiking there is sure to be something here to please everyone. A number of dive operators can be found in Pacific Harbour. One popular diving trip is shark feeding, but there are also wreck dives, coral dives and pelagic fish dives on offer that will take you to the impressive
Beqa Lagoon. Deep sea, reef and big game fishing are all highly popular pursuits around Pacific Harbour, particularly in the waters off Viti Levu. The tuna and mahi-mahi run here from January to May and big wahoos pass through in June and July. Or for the adventurous, try whitewater rafting, kite boarding and jet skiing.
If you’re looking for more leisurely activities, there are plenty of lush waterfalls and rainforests to explore. Tours can be arranged to nearby traditional villages, cultural and historical sites. The Robert Trent Jones Jr. Golf Course is centrally located on Queen’s Road for those who wish to play the internationally renowned 18–hole, par–72 golf course which features lakes, narrow valleys and jungleclad
hills.
Accommodation caters for all budgets from backpacker-style hostels for the budget conscious traveller right through to highend luxury retreats with everything you could possibly want on your Fijian holiday. Conveniently located close to Suva and Beqa, Pacific Harbour is ideal for a day trip for those staying in other resort areas. The secluded bays and lagoons, world famous dive sites, adrenalin packed activities and lush rainforest interiors make Pacific Harbour the ideal tropical destination, and a must-see on any trip to Fiji.
